Comment & Interaction Data

When you share a comment, we gather the information you provide, along with your browser’s user agent and IP address, to help us prevent spam. A hashed form of your email address may be used with Gravatar to display your avatar once your comment is approved.

Uploaded Media Considerations

Should you upload images, please refrain from including any embedded location metadata (like EXIF GPS). Uploaded media can be downloaded and the embedded metadata extracted by visitors.

Use of Cookies

  • Comment Convenience: We may store your name, email, and site in a cookie for a year to help save your details for future comments.
  • Login & Display Preferences: When you access the login page, a temporary cookie checks your browser’s compatibility; it’s deleted once you close your browser. After logging in, additional cookies remember your login status (up to two weeks if “Remember Me” is selected) and display choices (up to one year).
  • Editing Activity: Publishing or editing an article triggers a short-lived cookie (expires in one day) storing the post ID to simplify editing processes.
